  • Dehydration. Celery contains a lot of water which means that hamsters who eat too much can suffer diarrhoea, this leads to dehydration. Dehydration can result in more serious health problems.
  • Excessive urination. The high water content in celery can result in your pet needing to go to the toilet a lot more. This isn’t good for their bodies.
  • Stomach issues. Too much celery can overload your hamster’s digestive system and cause major issues.

Celery Seeds

We don’t really recommend feeding celery seeds to your hamster. The effects on your pet are unknown and you don’t want to take that risk with your beloved pet! Stick to the leaves and the stem, we know those are safe.

Celery Juice

We don’t recommend giving any form of juice to your pet. This is because of the high sugar content contained in juice and the lack of essential nutrients and vitamins that are in the juice. Therefore, do not feed celery juice to your hamster.
